MCS Teams Compete in MAA Contest

Earlier this month the MCS Department had two teams of students compete in the team mathematics contest organized by the Mathematical Association of America's North Central Section. We had a great result: Our younger team (including two first-year students!) solved two problems plus substantial progress on a third, placing them ahead of 14 other teams from the region. The more experienced team tied for 11th place out of 59 teams competing.
