Nienow Hired as Instructor, Tech Coordinator Posted on March 19th, 2007 by

Gustavus’s Department of Matheamtics and Computer Science is pleased to have hired Aaron Nienow as Instructor of Statistics and Departmental Technology Coordinator. Nienow started work in January, having received an initial one-semester contract through an expedited hiring process necessitated by a resignation. Now the department has completed a national search, resulting in the extension of a contract renewable year-to-year. Nienow’s responsibilities include teaching two sections of statistics in each fall and spring semester and supporting the department’s use of computer and calculator technology.

In 2006, Nienow completed his MS in Statistics from the University of Minnesota. He had previously earned a BA degree in Mathematics from St. Mary’s in Winona in 2001. Prior to coming to Gustavus, he had teaching experience at Ivy Technical College and St. Mary’s in Minneapolis, as well as the University of Minnesota.
