Students and Alumni to Discuss Careers Over Pizza Posted on November 6th, 2006 by

The MCS Department is sponsoring three discussions with recent grads about employment, all in the back room of Godfather’s Pizza with pizza and soft drinks.

These events are for any interested students, not just those getting ready to graduate.

  • Math careers: November 15, 6:30pm
  • Secondary math education careers: November 16, 5:30pm
  • Computing careers: November 20, 6:30pm

MCS majors who graduated over the last handful of years will come back to talk about their job search processes, the jobs they landed, what it was like to start in a new job, and how it is working out. What is it like? What do they wish they’d known in advance? How can they help you?

Feel free to attend more than one of the evenings; for example, a computer science major interested in the NSA or a math major interested in software development might benefit from attending both the math evening and the computing evening.

For any questions, contact Max Hailperin. In particular, if you want automobile transport down and back up, please ask.
