Erin Kock, Peacebridge Osei, and Andreas Xu joined me in what was an incredible experience. We got together on a Friday afternoon to assemble the machine and from the moment we started assembling the components, it was clear that we were working with a team of highly skilled individuals. Erin’s attention to detail ensured that every cable was neatly routed and secured, while Peacebridge’s curiosity and previous experience helped make the process smooth. Andreas showcased quick problem-solving abilities, and their synergy was remarkable, as if they had worked together in a team many times before. We all had the opportunity to contribute and learn through the entire process.

In just under 2.5 hours, we had successfully assembled the PC, and the sense of accomplishment was palpable. A minor hiccup with the graphics card was solved after kicking the machine a couple of times (just kidding). The PC we built is not only powerful but aesthetically pleasing, and I hope that all our students are curious and stop by the lab in Olin 316 to check it out and play with it. It was an experience that highlighted the importance of collaboration and one that I hope the students will remember fondly.
