Tell us about yourself.
I graduated from Gustavus in 2001 with degrees in Math & Music. I am currently a stay-at-home mom. Once in a while I will tutor someone who is taking a math or stats course and needs a little help.
How did the MCS department help you get where you are today?
TJ Morrison probably single-handedly changed my mind about going to grad school. With his encouragement I went on to get a Masters in Statistics at Iowa State. I am grateful for that experience.
What is your favorite memory or memories of the MCS department?
- Calculus at 8am Saturday mornings after the tornado. LOL!
- Stats classes with Carolyn Dobler. I still remember on the first day of class she took a poll of the class, “Guess my age.” Then she told us that she had a five-year-old daughter and we took the poll again and saw how the answers changed. (brave lady! haha)
