Congratulations to mathematics major Timothy Paczynski for scoring in the 48th percentile in the 2016 Putnam Exam. According to the Mathematical Association of America’s website “The William Lowell Putnam Mathematical Competition is the preeminent mathematics competition for undergraduate college students in the United States and Canada.” Some of this year’s top scores came from Carnegie Mellon, Harvard, Princeton and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
