Tell us about yourself.

I graduated from Gustavus in 1998 with a degree in Math/Computer Science, Secondary Education.  I’m currently the Executive Director of Technology & Data Services for Lakeville Area Public Schools. I’m also heavily involved in Statistics Education through the AP Reading, developing media for high school and college stats packages, and authored “Strive for a 5: Preparing for the AP Statistics Exam”.

How did the MCS department help you get where you are today?

They not only provided a solid foundation in the subject, but continued to spark my interest in mathematical topics, the use of technology in learning, and innovative pedagogical approaches.

What is your favorite memory or memories of the MCS department?

My favorite memory has to be our student office as junior/senior majors. The discussions and work we accomplished in there continue to bring a smile to my face!

Thanks for the update Jason. It’s good to hear from you.
