MCS Alumni Profile: Alex Zupan Posted on September 15th, 2016 by

AlexZupanTell us about yourself.

I graduated from Gustavus in 2007 with degrees in Math and Music. I am currently working as an Assistant professor of mathematics at  the University of Nebraska-Lincoln

How did the MCS department help you get where you are today?

My professors were incredibly supportive and encouraging.  Without them I never would have participated in an REU or studied abroad in Budapest. Both of these experiences shaped my future in a big way.

What is your favorite memory or memories of the MCS department?

Pressing the alarm button on the elevator every time we passed the physics floor.

Thanks for the update Alex. Good luck in Lincoln.
