Max Hailperin to be awarded the Gustavus Faculty Service Award.

President Bergman announced on Monday that the Faculty Service Award for 2014 will be given to Dr. Max Hailperin, Professor of Mathematics and Computer Science.

Please join the College community for the award ceremony on Founders Day, Friday, Oct. 31, at 10 a.m. in Christ Chapel.  The College will recognize the contributions of Max and two other award winners as well as the outstanding work of the many Gustavus employees across the campus

While many departments on campus have no faculty service award winners in their ranks, Max is one of four Service Award winners currently housed in the MCS Department. Carolyn Dobler (2009), Barbara Kaiser (2006) and, Lois Peterson (2013) have all been recognized with the Faculty Service Award.

Thanks, Aaron, Milo and Helen. Also worth noting: the very first Faculty Service Award winner, in 1986, was from our department — Milt Brostrom.
