Gustavus Adolphus College invites applications for a tenure-track position of Assistant Professor of Statistics in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science to begin September 1, 2013.

We seek candidates who have an earned doctorate in Statistics or a related discipline, but will consider candidates who have achieved ABD status. The successful candidate should have prior experience in teaching undergraduate statistics.

Primary responsibilities will include teaching courses in statistics, conducting research in statistics or its application, and contributing to general education. We value candidates who can provide leadership in the development of a major in statistics. A commitment to teaching and advising is essential and thus we value candidates with academic experiences and interests in a culturally diverse setting.
