Looking at the Freecell derivation of Solitaire, I will discuss the history and fundamentals of Freecell as well as the applications of statistics and probability to the game. Many people have been acquainted with Freecell through use of PC computers which have Freecell pre-loaded into their start menu. I will look at the expected versus actual distribution of cards dealt in hands on the Freecell game and discuss the ramifications of my findings.
Refreshments will be served at 12:15PM in third floor lobby of Olin Hall.
