Our civilization has reached such a stage that people tend to code
everything possible by numerals or letters. They code a region by
zip code, a book by ISBN, a commodity by UPC, a sound or picture by
sequence of 0 and 1, and even a human by social security number! When
you enjoy your digital phone or camera or TV, do you know how to code a
function digitally? What is the application of coding a function? In
this talk, we are going to extend the “digital frenzy” to the dynamical
study of functions. We will explore some beautiful examples that are
related to one of the fastest growing areas of modern mathematics.
Refreshments will be served.
