Midwest Undergraduate Data Analytics Competition Contest Winners!!!
On Saturday November 4th two teams of Gustavus students competed in the Midwest Undergraduate Data Analytics Competition (MUDAC). Teams of graduates and undergraduates explored real-world data while enhancing and showcasing their analytical and communication skills. Do You Have a Problem?
For the last two and a half years the MCS department has been offering students the opportunity to participate in problem solving sessions. Sessions are held once a week. Problems vary in subject matter and difficulty. Students from multiple diciplins get together for an hour in the evening, eat pizza, discuss strategies to solve the presented problems, and have a good time.

Gustie CS Grad Doing Research in Switzerland

MCS Alumni Profile: Betsy Langowski
Tell us about yourself. I graduated from Gustavus in 2008 with degrees in Mathematics and Communication Studies. I am currently working at Apple Inc. I’m an engineering manager. I manage a team called Binary Compatibility. It’s comprised of developers and QA engineers whose job it is to test third-party apps on unreleased software and hardware and ensure those apps aren’t broken on an API level. When we find an issue, we identify which framework is at fault and fix it.
