Ron Graham to Lecture Posted on April 29th, 2006 by

Ronald L. Graham, arguably both the most accomplished living mathematician and the most charsimatic, will deliver two lectures at Gustavus this week, courtesy of the Phi Beta Kappa Visiting Scholars Program. Graham will speak at 7:30 pm on Monday, May 1st, in Olin 103 and at 11:30 am on Tueday, May 2nd, in Olin 317. The Monday evening lecture is on “Mathematics in the 21st Century: Problems and Prospects,” whereas the Tuesday morning topic is “The Mathematics of Juggling,” inclusive of a demonstration. (Professor Graham is past president of the International Jugglers Association, as well as of the American Mathematical Society.) These will be events not to miss.
